Coogee Unit 2
This unit was fairly modern when the clients bought it. Inefficient use of space, however, meant that it needed to be transformed to make more out of the property.
The key challenge was to create an extra room and integrate it in such a way that it looked like it was always part of the house. This was partly achieving by extending the living space into a ‘loggia’ (or sun room).
We removed bifolding doors from the living room and sliding doors from the bedroom, extended the living space and added a study. A bar, storage and study area was combined in one piece of joinery.
The lounge room has a pop-up TV, a backlit display cabinet for beautiful glass pieces, and a fish tank. The clients selected lovely black marble, which was then used to make a coffee table with an integrated eco-smart fireplace.
